Course Description:

  • Tailored for Sea Combat Commander mission planning, staff watch standing skills, TTPs and considerations necessary to defeat surface and subsurface threats in a Joint/Combined environment.
  • OPTASK/PPR Refinement

     

Scope: 

  • Leveraging upon SMWDC’s SCC Course of Instruction, this seminar focuses on advanced mission planning and developing / refining watchstanding techniques and procedures to promote effective and cohesive watch teams capable of operating in multi-threat environments.

  • Review of SCC capabilities, responsibilities, processes and products

  • Refinement of SCC directives (OPTASKs / PPRs, Battle Orders, SCC Standard Operating Procedures, etc.)

  • DESRON Best Practices / Post-Deployment Brief

Attendees: 

Sea Combat Commander and staff. Strike Group Staff and Warfare Commanders, assigned CRUDES unit CO/XO/TAOs/Embarked Helo Det OICs at Commodore’s discretion.
