Start Place and Time:
Check in at Naval Base Pt. Loma Pass and Tag office, Bldg 61, NLT 0745 on the first day of class to receive your required visitor security badge. After receiving your security badge, proceed to Bldg 56, room 109, for class start at 0800.
Course Description:
The Maritime Fires Course (formerly titled Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System or JADOCS) is an introductory-to-intermediate level course for Staff watch officers, Intelligence watch officers, and Targeteers attached to Carrier Strike Groups (CSGs), Expeditionary Strike Groups (ESGs), Carrier Air Wings (CVWs), Destroyer Squadrons (DESRONs), and Maritime Operations Centers (MOCs). Training is focused on Maritime Deliberate/Dynamic Fires and the use JADOCS. Students are instructed in utilizing the tactical techniques and procedures from fleet theaters at both the operational and tactical levels of warfare.
Scope:
The Maritime Fires Course introduces maritime deliberate and dynamic targeting fundamentals and the integration of Joint targeting and fires in the maritime operations area; provides indoctrination on the requirements and processes to conduct maritime dynamic targeting; introduces maritime fires planning and control procedures between operational and tactical levels of war as well as the supporting staff B2C2WG; introduces JADOCS tactics, techniques, and procedures to exercise command and control of maritime fires including: interfaces, tools and managers; introduces JADOCS basic user setup, preferences, target data nomination, cross component coordination, weapons target pairing (WTP), Target Package Generator (TPG), and Link Monitoring and Management Tool (LMMT) to transmit machine-to-machine (M2M) targeting information. Class consists of 50% lecture and 50% lab.
