Student Information

CHECK-IN

To gain access to TACTRAGRUPAC, all students are required to check in with TACTRAGRUPAC Security at BLDG 61. Please have your orders and ID ready- they will be required for check-in. You will receive a student badge to use for the duration of your event or class. If you arrive early and want to check in over the weekend, please contact the Duty Officer at 619-508-1035 or leave a message with Student Admin at 619-221-5282.

CLASS HOURS

On your first day, class will convene at 0730 (0800 for MSPC). We suggest you arrive between 0700 and 0730 (0700 and 0745 for MSPC) on your first day to accommodate the check-in process.  The class hours are 0730 to 1630 with a one hour lunch break, Monday through Friday. 

UNIFORM

The uniform is summer khaki or the appropriate equivalent for allied or other service officers. NWU and Flight suits are authorized for MSPC.

TRANSPORTATION

There is limited public transportation available to and from the Point Loma Navy Complex. Transportation will be required daily to and from your lodging to the school. As such, TACTRAGRUPAC's location is a remote area within San Diego. If you don't have your own vehicle, contact your detailer immediately to make the necessary order modification arrangements for a rental car. Without an ORDMOD, you will not be reimbursed for the rental car expense. 

PER DIEM

Personnel with cost orders (PCS/TEMDUINS) may be entitled to per diem while assigned to TACTRAGRUPAC. Government messing and berthing are directed for all personnel. Reservations for both government and commercial lodging are to be made through your local SATO office. Government messing rate is $27.00 including incidental expenses. Commercial berthing may be utilized if a Certificate of Non-Availability (CNA) number is obtained. Maximum authorized for commercial messing is $46.00 including incidental expenses, and up to $89.00 for lodging. 

PARKING

Parking is limited; there are thirteen reserved student parking places which are assigned by seniority. All other parking on the compound is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

GYM FACILITIES

C3F compound has a small gym facility with a complete set of Nautilus Equipment, Free Weights, Stair Climbers, Treadmills and Exercise Bikes. There is a small running track along with a basketball court/ tennis court combo. MWR will provide basketballs and tennis equipment if desired. There are Male and Female locker rooms with showers available at building next to C3F gym. There are additional facilities located on the Submarine Base to include a 3/4 mile track, gym, swimming pool, beach, MWR ITT, liberty center and softball field.
